July, 2008
From the President:
Hello all, not a whole lot to bring up in the newsletter. Susanna
is doing ok from her fall, a little miserable because she has to stay off her
foot, what a great way to spend her vacation. We’ll know a little more after she
sees the orthopedic doctor.
For those who didn’t know she missed a step
coming down the stairs and took a tumble fracturing a bone in her foot, and
sprained the ankle pretty good I believe. She was still able to go on her trip
to Lancaster PA, the girls showed up and packed her in the back seat of the car,
and off they went.
Spurr Chevrolet’s cruise had a
fantastic turnout of 151 cars, we had roughly 12 members there to help out, Rick
and his crew were really pleased and appreciated our help. Thank you to all of
you that were able to be there, it was a good time. We also received a donation
from Barton Hots for the club, Jim said he likes to take care of feeding the
workers, but didn’t a chance to get with us ahead of time.
The next meeting will be a club
picnic at Manchesters on Aug. 9th , please get with Claudia with your
dish to pass and bring your chairs.
We want to give a great big thanks to June
Dick for all her hard work with the sponsors for the 2008 Caledonia Car Show, I
and all the members thought you did a wonderful job.

Thanks June from Larry and all club members.
REMINDER: Those of
you who have not paid your dues, they are overdue and you need to get them in to
remain in the club.
See you all at the Aug. 9th
picnic

was a great success! Comments were very positive. We even had people ask how
they could be sponsors. We did about $800 better than last year’s show so that
was good.
The following donations were voted on and
approved by the club. Motion by Sonny and seconded by Larry K. to donate $150
to the Caledonia Fire Department. Motion by Bill and seconded by Linda to
donate $750 to GVRC.
We do need better control of the traffic

make sure to have more people on duty for this next time.
Next year’s show will be on June 28th.
